Welcome to Little Explorers Child Care. I am a professional childcare provider, who has been operating since 2003. I have over 25 years of experience with childcare beginning as a young teen and then caring for my own children. When not doing childcare I was a CNA and then went to nursing school to become a LPN at Highland Community College. I have completed the educational classes required by DCFS, as well as my own personal on going education. I keep current on my Infant and Child CPR and First Aid certification. I have also had extensive training as a nurse with special needs children at the Monroe Clinic Hospital Family Birth Center in Monroe Wisconsin, and at Walter Lawson Children’s Home in Rockford Illinois. On top of all of that, I have had my certification for physical therapy at Rock Valley College in Rockford Illinois, which I used while working at Lena Manor Nursing Home.

I have been married to my husband Jim for 26 years now. We have four children John, Celeste, Christopher, and Caroline. We live on a nice quiet street on the north west side of Freeport. This is where my daycare is located in the walkout basement of our home.
